Easy Korean Beef

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups White Rice
  • 1 Pound Ground Beef (16oz)
  • 1 tsp Kosher Salt
  • 1/2 Medium Yellow Onion diced
  • 3 Garlic Cloves minced
  • 2 Green Onions chopped
  • 1/3 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1 tbsp Granulated Sugar
  • 1 tsp Fresh Ginger minced
  • 1/3 cup Soy Sauce
  • 1 tbsp Rice Vinegar
  • 2 tsps Sesame Oil
  • 1/4 tsp Red Chili Flakes
  • Sesame Seeds optional
  • 2 Green Onions chopped - optional

Instructions
 

  • Cook your white rice according to its packaging.
  • Cook Ground Beef with the 1 tsp of Kosher Salt, 1/2 Yellow Onion, 2 Green Onions and minced Garlic until meat is no longer pink and onions are softened.
  • While meat is cooking, in a small bowl combine 1/3 cup Brown Sugar, 1 tbsp Granulated Sugar, 1/3 cup Soy Sauce, 1 tbsp Rice Vinegar, 2 tsps Sesame Oil, 1 tsp minced Ginger and 1/4 tsp Red Chili Flakes. Stir together until the sugar is fully dissolved.
  • Once the meat is cooked, pour in the prepared mixture and stir to coat all of the beef.
  • Allow to simmer for 3-5 minutes to let the flavor set in to the meat. Add more salt if necessary.
  • Serve over white rice and top with Sesame Seeds and additional Green Onions. Enjoy!
